i. e., the Mad. [Called also Merlin.] A Welsh poet; flourished 580 (?). Hardly anything is known of his life. In mediaeval Welsh literature he is credited with being the author of six poems, which can be found in the "Myryrian Archaeology" (2d ed., pages 104-18, 348).
