That part of medicine which relates to details-medico-statistical- connected with the mortality, salubrity, &c., of different countries and situations. It has, also, been used in a wider sense to signify the same as Numerical method, (F.) Methode numerique; which is applied to the systemization of medical facts, or to the use of numbers in the investigation of disease.
