An American novelist and poet; born at Claremont, N. II., March 5, 1848; died at Venice, January 1894. Her principal books are: "Castle Nowhere" (1875); "Rodman the Keeper" (1880); "Anne" (1882); "For the Major" (1883); "East Angels" (1886); "Jupiter Lights" (1889); and "Horace Chase" (1894).

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
