An English poet; born in Birmingham, 1858; died in London (?), 1889. She studied sociological problems, and lectured with effect; but is chiefly remembered for her volumes of "Songs and Sonnets of Springtime" (1881), and "A Modern Apostle", etc. (1887).

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
