A celebrated nostrum. for which Dr. Paris has given the following formula. Infuse 3ix of sassafras and of the seeds of carraway, coriander, and anise, each 3j, in six pints of water. Simmer the mixture until reduced to tbiv: then add tbvj of treacle, and boil the whole for a few minutes.When cold, add 3iij of tincture of opium. The following form is recommended by a committee of the Philadelphia college of Pharmacy. Tinct.
