Confluens, from con, and fluere, to flow Running together. An epithet for certain exanthematous affections, in which the pimples, pustule, & c., run together. It is particularly applied to small-pox, so circumstanced. Some author have called scarlatina or scarlet fever Confluent Measle, Morbilli Confluentes.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
